The Austin Hick Chicks are hosting a Christmas Banquet Benefit on December 8th-submitted by Jeanny Wells
The team members have a very wide range of people who get involved, from age ten all the way up to age fifty plus. The Hick Chicks are a fun group of girls that are building their youth and performance team for the upcoming season. The Hick Chicks are always looking for new riders, noting the group is a great way to challenge yourself and your horse, learn new skills, perform at rodeos, ride in parades, and of course having fun while meeting new people. The members of the drill team also decided they really wanted to give back to the community by helping to raise awareness for various causes, and to give a lending hand whenever it is needed.
So the Team members are hosting a Christmas Benefit Banquet on December 8th, for the Manitoba Agricultural Museum in Austin. As the facility has been going through some financial difficulties lately, and basically it is the only museum of its kind in all of Canada. Also, it's important to keep that alive for the young and the old to enjoy for years to come. The Christmas Banquet takes place at the Austin Hall in Austin, MB from 5 pm to 8pm. The event is featuring cowboy poetry by Len Carroll, a penny parade, and other entertainment with a home style Christmas meal theme. Seating is limited, so if you would like tickets you can purchase them from any Hick Chicks drill team member or by contacting Lynn Dyck at 204-871-4190.
The team can always be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 204-871-4190. You can always follow the Austin Hick Chicks on Facebook .
