A two-vehicle accident at the corner of Gigot Ave. and 18 St. N.W. in Portage la Prairie sent two people to hospital on Saturday.

At about 9:30 a.m. an eastbound van and a southbound half-ton model pick-up truck collided at the intersection.

The female driver of the van and a female passenger in the pick-up truck were taken to Portage District General Hospital for treatment as a result of the collision.

Portage Emergency Services, Portage RCMP and Regional Health Ambulance Service attended the scene. The collision is under investigation.
