Local competitors results in from rodeo events in Austin

Here are the results for competitors placing in the top eight in their events from the Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion Rodeo in Austin July 23-26. These were the only results made available by the Canadian Cowboys Association.

Cassandra Peters of Plumas finished with a time of 17.49 tied for first/second in the junior barrels, good for $313.95.

Dustin Doucette of Austin brought home $176.34 with the two other competitors in the novice saddle bronc.

Kevin MacDonald and Kevin Dyck, both of Austin, each brought home $253 for the novice bareback competition.

Dyck also took home $180.32 for his score of 67, good for a tie for fifth place with his mount, Dark City, in the open bareback division.

Curtis Hay of Poplar Point was in a three-way tie for first with his time of 6.9 seconds in the team roping event, good for $1,916.
