It’s almost springtime and that means it’s time to start thinking about registering for a spring sport. Here’s a list of available team sports in Portage this spring.
The Portage Youth Soccer Association soccer season is just around the corner.
This year the registration process will be mostly online and can be handled at their website portageyouthsoccer.ca. PYSA is planning one in person registration night final day of registration. All registrations after this date will have a $25 late fee added to registration fees, and players will only be added to a team if there is room.
Online registration concludes March 15 and the in-person registration happens that same day. It goes from 6-8:30 p.m. at Stride Place.
Funding/payment options available, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for any other information.
Portage Minor Baseball Association online registration is now open.
Returning players will require an access code that can be accessed through the website portageminorbaseball.com. Each child has to be individually registered and each family member receives 25 per cent off on each child registered after the first. Just use coupon code additionalplayer to factor in your discount.
Several forms of payments will be accepted including PayPal, Visa, and Mastercard online. There will also be an in-person registration March 15 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Stride Place.
Portage Minor Softball Association’s registration is just around the corner.
PMSA is working hard to get their new website up and running as quickly as possible but regrets to inform the public they will not be ready for an online registration process. There will instead be two in-person registration days.
Registration happens March 15 and 22 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Stride Place.
Registration for Portage Pitbulls will begin late April or early May.
The Organization urges any parents with concerns to get in touch with a board member, or a parent of a player who played last year to settle any concerns felt toward the sport. The Pitbulls only fielded two teams last season, a Cruncher team and a Bantam team, forcing players at the atom and peewee level to travel to play the sport.
The Pitbulls will also have an online registration coming up soon.
Portage Junior Trojans Lacrosse registration has not been announced as of yet.
High School Sports
Portage Collegiate Institute’s spring sports are close to getting underway as we approach warmer temperatures.
The Trojans baseball and Saints fastpitch teams are both getting set for their upcoming Zone 4 season. The Trojans are also getting set for the upcoming Manitoba High School Field Lacrosse League season as well.
It’s also badminton season and PCI is gearing up for that as well.
