Dogs fall to Blues
A three goal first period lead wasn't enough of an advantage.
The Winnipeg Blues, lead by a Devon Skoleski four goal night, scored five straight goals to erase a three goal Terrier advantage en route to a 6-4 comeback victory Wednesday night.
Braden Billaney, Joey Moffatt and Scott Mickoski each found the back of the net in the opening frame to stake the Terriers to a comfortable three goal cushion.
Brendan Bartlett and Nick Cicek struck in the middle stanza to pull the hosts within one before Skoleski took over. The St. Adolphe, Man., native scored a pair of goals 10 seconds apart and again 13 minutes later to put the home team ahead 5-3.
Jeremey Leipsic pulled the Terriers within one with his 24th of the year, Chase Brakel picked up the lone helper, but it wasn't enough as Skoleski added his fourth and final goal of the night, an empty netter, to round out the scoring.
The Terriers are back in action Friday on the road in Neepawa, puck drop set for 7:30 p.m.
