It'll come down to the luck of the draw when it comes to setting up camp at Delta Beach this summer.
The Portage Regional Recreation Authority have released its seasonal fares and are now accepting applications for its 20 seasonal campsites - 10 lakefront, 10 non-lakefront - with successful applicants chosen via a lottery.
The sites, available annually from mid-May to the end of October, feature 30 amp power and water and range between $1,650-$1,800 in the 2018 season with prices increasing incrementally each year.
The lottery application process opens Monday and runs until March 9. All applicants will be entered into a random draw, set for March 12, for the 20 available seasonal sites. Once completed, the site selection will be based on the order individuals have been drawn through the lottery process. Site selection will take place from March 19–30 and can be completed in person, over the phone or by email.
All individuals interested in a seasonal campsite at Delta Beach Campground can pick up a lottery application form at Stride Place, the RM of Portage la Prairie Office or download the form from www.strideplace.ca. Successful applicants will have the ability to retain their site each year if they so choose.
