Fourth Cap recognized this season.

The Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League has named Central Plains Capitals forward Halle Edwards as the CCM-Selkirk Source for Sports Player of the Week ending November 19 and joins fellow Caps Chloe Snaith, Maegan Inman, and Megan Ferg who already took home the award this season.

The Starbuck, Man., native had four points in two road wins against the Yellowhead Chiefs and Westman Wildcats this weekend. Edwards notched two goals and an assist in their 5-3 win over the Chiefs before scoring the game winner against Westman Sunday. She made the Final 27 list last season with Hockey Manitoba’s Program of Excellence U-18 program.

Edwards is currently tied for fourth in MFMHL scoring while sitting second in goals scored. She’s second in scoring for the Caps this season with 23 points. She’s known for her great skill with the puck and has developed into a consistent two-way player.

With her size and speed she’s a formidable opponent for other opponents to defend.
