Armed robbery at gaming centre

Police are asking the public's assistance in identifying a pair of individuals in connection to a Saturday morning armed robbery at the Dakota Tipi Gaming Centre.

According to police, Portage RCMP responded to the incident at approximately 11:40 a.m., Saturday morning and met with the victim and witnesses on scene. According to witnesses, male suspect entered the gaming centre with an sawed off firearm, entered the cashier's area and removed cash from the register before running out the front door to an awaiting car.

The suspect is described being between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-4 in height with a very noticeable scar on the back of his neck, wearing a black winter coat, black pants, black neck warmer and a grey and black toque. The vehicle used to flee the scene is described as a small, grey coloured 4-door Chevy driven by a female wearing red lipstick and large glasses with her hair in a pony tail.
