Days Inn robbed again

For the second time in just a few months, Days Inn in Portage la Prairie was held up.

According to police, just after 7 a.m., Oct. 27, two armed, male suspects entered the Days Inn hotel brandishing a firearm and a form of irritant spray while demanding money from an employee. The suspects fled the scene on foot, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The first suspect is described as male, wearing a dark coloured hooded sweater, light grey sweat pants, grey running shoes, a cover on his face along with sunglasses and gloves. The second suspect is described as male, wearing a black hooded sweater, dark grey sweat pants, dark coloured shoes, a cover over his face as well as sunglasses and gloves.

Anyone with knowledge of this incident, especially the identity of those involved,  are encouraged to contact the Portage la Prairie RCMP at 204-857-4445. Anonymous tips can be made through Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and manitobacrimestoppers.com. Tips leading to the identity and prosecution of the suspects could receive cash awards.
