Playoffs around the corner

High school volleyball playoffs are coming up quickly.
It was a perfect week for Portage Collegiate Institute's varsity volleyball teams in the West Winnipeg Athletic Conference.
The Saints are still undefeated in Tier 1. The girls took out Westwood in four sets Monday in Portage la Prairie, then followed it up with a sweep of Oak Park Wednesday night to hop to 8-0 in the standings. The Trojans picked up a couple of wins this week as well in Tier 2. The boys beat Westwood 3-1 Monday and took out Shaftesbury 3-1 Wednesday to improve to 6-3. The Saints are on the court Monday when they welcome Vincent Massey Winnipeg to Portage, the Trojans go Tuesday in Stonewall.
Westpark's varsity volleyball teams were on the court twice for Zone 4A action this week.
The varsity girls finished the week 1-1. The ladies lost to Rosenort to kick off the week but took out the Dufferin Christian Stingers 3-1 Wednesday. The girls sit 2-4 this year in sixth place. Westpark's varsity boys went 2-0 and are now 7-1 and sit in first place. The boys swept Rosenort and Dufferin Christian in straight sets. The varsity clubs wrap up their regular seasons tonight in Portage. The girls welcome Shevchenko while the boys host Northlands Parkway.
