Tickets to the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials officially go on sale in Portage la Prairie Wednesday at the Portage Curling Club and Stride Place.
“We're trying to keep the prices down so we can get more people out,” says Al Dahl, co-chair of the trials. “This is a first of a kind event and we want as many people out taking it in as possible. We have a lot of different types of ticket packages available too.”
Early bird tickets can be purchased starting Wednesday, and you'll be able to get early bird prices until December 22. A full event pass at early bird pricing is just $75 and that includes the playoffs and championship matches. After December 22 the prices will increase, but they'll still be very reasonably priced. You'll be able to pick up weekend passes that just feature the playoffs and medal round, as well as daily passes which will be available closer to the event.
“The winners will be representing Canada in the Olympics so it'll be cool that we'll have a connection with the athletes because it's almost like they're from Portage in the end,” adds Dahl.
Along with tickets to the curling, passes will also garner access to the Locker Room Pub where live music and entertainment will be happening throughout the weekend.
