A perfect season so far.
Portage Collegiate Institute’s (PCI) varsity volleyball teams each notched victories over John Taylor in West Winnipeg Athletic Conference action this week. The Saints are undefeated on the court, sitting a perfect 6-0 on the season and have yet to drop a single set. The girls took out the Pipers 25-11, 25-10 and 25-11 while the Trojans needed one extra set to get their win. The boys bounced back to win three straight sets after dropping the first 25-21, then winning 25-21 29-27 29-14.
Westpark only saw one of their varsity teams in action this week. The varsity boys took out Dufferin Christian 3-1 in four sets, winning 25-12 25-9 and 25-9. The varsity boys are now 4-1 this season and are back in action Tuesday when they welcome William Morton to town. The varsity girls are 1-2, and are next in action Thursday for a road tilt against St. Jean-Baptiste.
