A little goes a long way.

The Portage Collegiate Institute (PCI) Trojans varsity football team presented the Portage Plains United Way with a donation of $850 at the team's final home game Thursday evening.

PCI participated in the United Way Games at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg, with all of their donations from ticket sales and a barbecue going directly to Portage Plains United Way. PCI vice principal Mark Dibol says he was able to work a deal out so the money they raised would stay in Portage la Prairie.

PCI is the only team that took part that didn't have to donate their funds directly to Winnipeg United Way.
