A saintlike start to the season.

Portage Collegiate Institute's varsity volleyball clubs were on the court for West Winnipeg Athletic Conference action in Portage this week.

The varsity Saints sit a perfect 5-0 after sweeping the Stonewall Rams 3-0 Monday evening and have yet to lose a set in Tier 1 play this season. The Trojans look like they're officially back on track in Tier 2 action thanks to Monday's five-set victory over the Rams at PCI. The boys improve to 2-3 on the yea and can get back to the .500 mark with a win against the Pipers in Winnipeg Wednesday.

Westpark varsity action

Westpark's varsity clubs have each enjoyed some down time this week. The varsity boys are 3-1 this Zone 4A season and are back in action Thursday night when they visit Dufferin Christian. The varsity girls (1-3) don't play again until October 26 when they visit St. Jean Baptiste.
