Mustangs win it.

MacGregor Collegiate's junior varsity girl's volleyball team went 11-1 through a tournament in Carman over the weekend to capture the championship

“I'm very proud of the girls for not only winning the tournament, but also displaying great sportsmanship and being excellent teammates,” says Bryan Marriott, Mustangs Head Coach. “They're a great group of girls to coach and they've been improving all season long.

The girls finished first in their pool at 7-1 with wins coming against Rosenort, Carman, Treherne, and Morris. They found themselves up against Rosenort again in the 1st vs 4th match and won in two sets to advance to the final.

The Mustangs took out Morris in the final winning 25-22 and 25-19 in straight sets. Shalyssa Sawatzky was named tournament MVP.
