Armed robbery at Tim Hortons

Police are in search of a female suspect after Tim Hortons was robbed at knife point early Friday morning.

According to police, Portage RCMP were called to the location at 550 Saskatchewan Ave. E just before 6 a.m., October 13. A female armed with a knife entered the restaurant and went behind the counter where she demanded cash from employees before fleeing the scene in a silver Nissan Rogue.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous female, wearing a black jacket over a grey hooded sweater, blue jeans, sunglasses, a hat and gloves along with bright blue running shoes.

Police are asking for the public's assistance identifying the suspect, contact Portage la Prairie RCMP at 204-857-4445, or your local police detachment. Anonymous tips can be made through Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and manitobacrimestoppers.com. Tips leading to the identification and prosecution of those involved could receive a large cash award.
