For the ninth straight year the Ecole Arthur Meighen School cross country team captured the Grade 5/6 and Grade 7/8 City Championship banner.

The school had 58 athletes compete during this year's season with individual runners Calli Owens (Grade 8), Danika Botterill (Grade 7), Mckenna Davis (Grade 6), Grace Moar (Grade 5) and Cam Sarna (Grade 5).

A group of 45 runners representing EAMS travelled to Winnipeg last month where they competed in the annual Milk Cross Country Challenge against schools from across Manitoba. Calli Owens (Grade 8 Girls) and Cam Sarna (Grade 5 Boys) found the most success at the provincial event as they each ran to fifth place finishes in their respective heats. (Submitted)
