Star Wars makeup tutorial: The Jedi look by Covergirl
When it comes to light vs. dark, which side do you choose?
Thanks to COVERGIRL, Star Wars (and makeup) fans don't have to choose at all. The beauty brand partnered with Star Wars: The Force Awakens to create six looks inspired by the huge franchise. Pat McGrath, Global Creative Design Director for COVERGIRL designed the looks, with three light and three dark, for no matter what mood or allegiance you may hold.
"Key themes of the film franchise are transformation, and light vs. dark, and what better way than makeup to transform your personal look and explore different sides of your personality? " said Tala Arous, COVERGIRL Communications Manager.
The looks are all inspired by characters from the movie; Droid, Jedi, Mystic, Storm Trooper, Dark Apprentice and Chrome Captain.
"Fans of the Star Wars franchise love that they can connect with the film in this way, and bring their passion to their beauty routine," Arous said.
As for which side is more popular, Arous says it's pretty split.
"We have fans that really love the Jedi look, which showcases a beautifully highlighted face and gold shadow ... On the flip side, we’ve seen women really embrace our Dark Apprentice look which features a dramatic liner look and a bold red lip."
