In 5 clicks: Life-size Prince George cake wins top prize
Oh, Prince George, you’re too sweet, literally. A woman in England has created a life-size version of Prince George for the annual Cake International competition and won top prize.
According to the BBC, Lara Mason, 29, spent 30 hours crafting the cake which is about 3 feet. Using a skeleton of steel, wood and PCV tubing, the layers of sponge cake were placed on the skeleton while blocks of modelling chocolate made up the face.
A self-confessed royalist and baker, Mrs. Mason told the BBC she was "delighted" to win a gold award for her creation.
She won golds in previous years for her cakes of actress Jennifer Lawrence and Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.
