Connor McDavid or Jack Eichel.

It's getting more and more likely by the day that one of these projected franchise-changing prospects will don a Buffalo Sabres jersey this fall.

The woeful club lives alone in the NHL basement. If Buffalo doesn't quickly improve upon its last-place standing (just 47 points in 73 games), they're guaranteed at least the second overall pick in the 2015 NHL draft.

The draft lottery math shakes out like this: the 30th place team has a 20% chance of obtaining the first-overall selection but, if it doesn't win the right, automatically gets the second position.

A Buffalo-area restaurant has, in a way, jumped on board the tanking bandwagon. Amherst Pizza & Ale House has drinks dedicated to McDavid and Eichel.

“The lottery thing is pretty big here in the Buffalo area,” said John Bona III, the restaurant's owner, in an interview with Puck Daddy. “We play the games of other teams near the bottom, too.”

Bona wants patrons to 'DRINK FROM THE TANK'.

The McDavid concoction is a green drink with orange vodka for $4.97. Eichel's is a red drink with cherry vodka for $4.09. Both prices are a nod to the players' respective jersey numbers.

Bona added a fun disclaimer at the bottom of the drink specials display.

“If you order the McDavid drink, there is an 80% chance you will get an Eichel Drink instead,” the message reads next to an asterisk, referring to the Sabres' odds of receiving the second overall pick.

The owner was asked which specialty drink he likes more. His answer was perfect.

“They're both good. They're suitable for everyone. My preference is the McDavid,” Bona said.

“But I ordered it three times and only got it once.”
