Reto Berra did something only 11 other goaltenders have done in American Hockey League history on Friday night.

He scored a goal.

The Colorado Avalanche netminder, making his Lake Erie Monsters debut while on a conditioning stint, scored into an empty net against the Chicago Wolves to cement a 5-1 victory in Rosemount, Ill.

With Wolves goalie Matt Climie on the bench for a sixth attacker, Berra stopped a dump-in from centre ice and shot the puck 200 feet into the net.

Berra then skated to the bench and celebrated with his teammates, however one Wolves player took exception to his celebratory display and gave him a shove at centre ice.

The 28-year-old from Switzerland is 2-2-1 in 10 games with the Avalanche this season.
