A junior hockey player nearly decapitated himself after being ejected on Sunday.

Mitchell Skiba of the Alpena Flyers in the Midwest Junior Hockey League was exiting the ice after receiving a game misconduct for spearing during a game against the MC Monarchs in Alpena, Mich. when karma hit him in the face – literally.

Skiba lifted his stick as he attempted to step off the ice, but unfortunately for him, it got stuck against two panes of glass.

The sequence saw Skiba knocked to the ground before he got back up and dramatically scampered down the tunnel without his stick.

And his pride.
