RCMP looking for armed robbers

Portage la Prairie RCMP is on the look out for two people believed to be involved in an armed robbery.

 

On April 2, around 11 p.m., police received a call of an armed robbery in progress at a local business in Portage.

The lone employee at the store was forced to give an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes, but was unharmed. The suspects fled before the police arrived.

Police are looking for two suspects, one of whom could be female. Both were dressed in dark colours. One had a small build, appeared to be approximately 16 years old with brown hair and was wearing a black sweatshirt with dark pants and a green backpack. The other suspect had a heavy build, appeared to be approximately 20 years old and was wearing a blue hoodie and dark pants.

RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying these individuals.
