The Portage Terriers looks to add a third straight MJHL championship to their mantle as they open rookie training camp at the PCU Centre this weekend.

The best young talent from across Manitoba will be at the PCU Centre this weekend as the Terriers look to add some new blood to their roster, which was dismantled last season as top players went on to school and other opportunities.

Only seven players remain from last year's squad so there's a lot of room for new players to come in and added some speed, depth and grit to the team.

The Terriers recently acquired 18-year-old forward Ryan Tront from the Duluth Clydesdales in the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) for future considerations.

The 5'10, 170-pound forward from Thunder Bay, Ont. racked up 25 points (eight goals, 17 assists) with the Clydesdales last season with 43 penalty minutes in 47 games played.  He was also key for their playoff run last year, pouring in five goals in six games with an assist to boot.
