Brayden Twist was extremely consistent at the Manitoba Junior Championship this week.

Twist, 18, posted 76 on both days of the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour stop at Transcona Golf Club on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The result tied him for eighth with Teulon Golf Club's Darren Kelpin with a two-day score of 152. Twist was 12 strokes off the pace set by champion Evan DeGrazia of Thunder Bay, Ont., who shot a blistering 65 on Wednesday to cruise to a three-stroke victory in the boys' 17-19 division.

The tour's final Manitoba stop will take place Aug. 27 and 28 at Winkler Centennial Golf Club. After that, select players will be invited to take part in the MJT Boston Pizza National Tour Championship at The Legends Golf Resort in Phoenix, Ariz. from Nov. 16-18.
