The RCMP is looking for answers in what's suspected to be arson of a home on Victoria Ave. early Wednesday morning.
The fire occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m., as the RCMP Portage la Prairie Detachment along with local Fire and EMS were dispatched to a residential fire in the 200 block of Victoria Avenue in Portage la Prairie.
Fire Officials gained control of the fire and no other properties in the area were affected. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no one was hurt.
RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner. Damage estimates are not currently available. However, damages are considered extensive.
