Portage Golf Club member Quentin Neff made a charge on Monday.
After his 73 was tied for the second-best score of the day at the Men's Rural Amateur Championship in Sunday's opening round, Neff trimmed it further to shoot a one-under 71 on Monday.
Through the 36 regulation holes, he was even with Golf Manitoba's Steven Martens, resulting in a playoff, which Martens then won.
Other Portage Golf Club content included Brodie Gobin, Brayden Twist, and Gavin Neufeld.
Gobin tallied an 83 on Monday for a 160 overall, placing him tied for 20th.
Twist was three strokes back after firing an 80 on Monday for a 163 overall and tied for 25th.
Neufeld was tied for 30th after improving from 85 to 81 strokes for a 166 overall.
Meanwhile, MacGregor was represented by three golfers.
Kevin Lamb shot an 82 to post a 165 two-day score to finish tied for 28th.
Brent Lamb, meanwhile, pruned his 86 to an 83 for a 160 over, placing him in 34th spot outright.
Dan MacDonald carded a 90 on Monday after an 81 on Sunday for a 171 overall, leaving him alone in 37th.
