Quentin Neff is in striking distance at the Men's Rural Amateur Championship.

The Portage Golf Club member shot a one-over 73 to sit tied for second at the tournament at Neepawa Golf and Country Club. He and two others trail Teulon's Ryan Sholdice by three strokes.

Meanwhile, clubmate Brodie Gobin is tied for 14th after firing a five-over 77, while Brayden Twist is tied for 28th after an 11-over 83. Gavin Neufeld rounds out the Portage contingent with a 13-over 85 sitting in 35th.

Meanwhile, MacGregor sent three golfers. Dan MacDonald leads that group with a nine-over 81 to sit tied for 26th. Kevin Lamb is tied for 28th after shooting an 11-over 83, and Brent Lamb is tied for 36th after a 14-over 86.

The final round will take place Monday in Neepawa.
