After 14 years of fighting Parkinson’s disease, Jeff Norton’s father passed away in February.
As a tribute to his father, and to help continue the fight against Parkinson’s disease, Norton has been fundraising for the Parkinson Society Manitoba in a unique way.
“We have a commercially produced amphicar that was made in Germany in the late 1960s,” he said. “Our fundraiser is called ‘Off the Beach and Path.’ We’re visiting a bunch of beach and lake locations in Manitoba and Ontario and offering free rides in the car. We’re hoping in return, people will make donations to the Parkinson Society Manitoba. So far we’ve raised over $21,000.”
