The Portage Women’s Shelter held a fundraiser at Co-op Marketplace on Friday.
Therese Rossiter, project coordinator for the Portage Women’s Shelter, said the community support has been overwhelming.
“Besides the food, we will also accept cash donations,” she said. “We also had blankets donated to us that we are selling as well. The Portage community has been very generous to us.”
All funds raised from the barbecue will go directly towards the shelter.
