MacGregor’s own Rilee Lloyd has returned home to Manitoba after competing in the Miss Teen Canada World Pageant in Toronto.
On her experience, Lloyd said she learned a lot about herself during the pageant and was glad she was able to compete with girls from across Canada.
“It was a great experience,” she said. “I met a lot of great people while I was there and I learned a lot about myself. We had a few motivational speakers talk to us and that was a very valuable experience. The tour of Toronto was great as well.”
Lloyd said she is unsure of where she finished in the pageant, because only the top 20 are announced.
“I’m not sure where I finished to be honest,” she said. “They announced the top 10 and 20 girls and I didn’t make the list unfortunately. I had a really great time regardless of my placement.
In total, 66 girls across Canada competed in the competition, which is slightly down from the original number that was expected to be there.
