VIDEO: Saskatoon Berry Festival in St. Ambroise 0
The St. Ambroise Community Centre was the host of the Saskatoon Berry Festival on Saturday.
Kicking off at 9:00 a.m. was a pancake breakfast.
"We used Saskatoon berries with our pancakes this morning," said Wilf Lavallee, chairperson on the board of directors for the St. Ambroise Community Centre. "We had a really good turnout for the breakfast."
Following the breakfast was the Saskatoon Dessert Contest, which has always been a popular event at the festival.
Three contestants showed off their Saskatoon berry creations, and each entrant was awarded a prize.
Lavallee said support for the festival has been overwhelming.
"A number of Portage area businesses and organizations sponsored our silent auction items."
