School Division hosts final meeting of the year
The Portage la Prairie School Division held its final meeting of the board of trustees on Thursday, which wrapped up a number of important items for the school year, including the tendering of two construction projects to take place over the summer.
The Division awarded two tenders at Thursday night's meeting. The first tender was awarded to The New Age Automation Group Inc. for $56,237.81 for the installation of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) at both Ecole Crescentview School and Oakville School. The project came in under the projected budget of $60,000. With this all of the school in the division will have CCTV capabilities.
A second tender was awarded to Ellwood McRorie for the stair and ramp replacement at Ecole Arthur Meighen School as well as the bus garage floor drain replacement which came in at $77,586 and $13,316 respectively. The project came in slightly over the $90,000 budgeted.
