The MacGregor Fair on its way 0
MacGregor Agricultural Fair is set to take place this Saturday. There is fun for the entire family at this years fair.
In the morning there will be a pancake breakfast with a high school travel bar taking over for the afternoon meals.
"We have different events for all age groups," said Jim Klywak, president of the North Norfolk Agriculture Society. "We encourage everyone to come out."
One of the new events taking place this year the fair is geocaching. This is a game where the competitor uses a GPS to find hidden treasures. It is basically a scavenger hunt with technology attached to it.
For the older crowd, there will be horse and cattle shows taking place during the afternoon. There will be 60-70 horses on display - miniatures and heavies. The horse show is Manitoba Gymkhana Rodeo Association (MGRA) approved.
The 4-H Beef Club will be holding the cattle show around the same time as well.
There will also be a large local baseball tournament with six to eight local slo-pitch teams.
Klywak said he expects a lot of people to show up assuming the weather is good.
"We don't have an entrance fee to the fair," he said. "It is a very popular event here, so I expect a good turnout."
