A semi-trailer heading eastbound detached from its hinges at around 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

The Portage Fire Department was called the scene and well as the Portage RCMP to deal with the trailer, which detached and positioned in the middle lane of the highway.

There were no injuries to report and the problem was cleared up shortly after.
