RCMP arrest Portagers for drugs in separate incidents 0

Several people have been charged in two separate incidents involving drugs in the Portage la Prairie area.

On June 22, Portage RCMP carried out a search warrant at a residence on 2nd street NW in Portage. As a result of the investigation, 20 grams of cocaine was seized.

John Allen Aymont, 29, Jolene Lynn Grossman, 25, and Blaine Roy Knott, 28, all of Portage la Prairie, have been charged with several charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act including Possession for the purpose of Trafficking Cocaine.

All three all have been released and are expected to appear in Portage la Prairie Court on Aug. 27

In an unrelated investigation, on Jun. 23 Portage RCMP carried out another search warrant at an apartment on Oak Bay in Portage la Prairie. A small quantity of cocaine was seized.

As a result of the investigation, Lori Ann Isfeld, 31, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

She was also released and is expected to appear in Portage la Prairie Court on Aug. 27

Anyone with information regarding drug trafficking or criminal activity is asked to call their local police agency or RCMP detachment.
