Fair season is around the corner 0
With MacGregor set to hold its annual fair Saturday, June 30, it will mark the unofficial start of the fair season in the Central Plains area.
Here is a short breakdown of the fairs that are taking place in the Central Plains next month.
Austin - July 26-29
The 58th annual Threshermen's Reunion and Stampede will be held this July.
Among the entertainment available will be the various displays of several tractor clubs from around Manitoba. During the afternoons, there will be parades of vintage farm equipment and various competitions.
Plumas - July 28
Plumas Fair will have a variety of events for the whole family. Kicking off the events will be a parade at 9:00 a.m. Following that will be a pancake breakfast provided by the local Lions Club.
"We had a great turnout last year," Doreen Smith, secretary treasurer of the Plumas Fair Board. "The weather wasn't too hot or cold, so it made for the perfect day. We're hoping for a similar turnout."
The fair will end with fireworks at sundown.
More to come.
