ACU Normac Centre receives a donation from the True North Foundation

True North Foundation gave out over a $1-million to local organizations and arenas in Manitoba last week.

One of the recipients was MacGregor's ACU Normac Centre, which will receive $25,000. Shelley Zander, who sits apart of the board for the ACU Normac Centre, said the money would go towards dressing room upgrades.

"We had some mould in our dressing rooms and last month we had volunteers rip the rooms out to their bare bones," she said. "Money from the True North Foundation will go towards putting in a brand new dressing room."

Last year the arena received $25,000 from the Kraft Celebration Tour. Zander said they are saving it in hopes of getting a new roof for the arena.
