Portage la Prairie's Farmer's Market kicked off this past Saturday at the PCU Centre parking lot and continued through the drizzle Wednesday afternoon.

The PCU Centre will continue to be home to the market as it runs every Wednesday and Saturday until October 13.

This is the third consecutive year the location has changed. Portage Mall parking lot was home to the annual event last year and the year before Heritage Square parking lot was the host.

Although it is very early in the year, there were many vendors out with locally grown fruits and vegetables - more are expected as the summer rolls on.

The market was not only limited to food, as there were many vendors with clothing and other crafts for sale.
