LVS wins award for Quality Physical Education 0

La Verendrye School won a National Platinum Recognition award for their commitment and dedication to health and fitness at the elementary school.
The award, which was given to them by Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada), recognizes LVS' achievements in being role models for young children. It also acknowledges the school for leading the advocacy initiative and promoting the importance of staying active.
Mark Sokolowski, phys. ed teacher at La Verendrye School, said that he was proud to see that LVS won the award and was happy to be recognized.
"We're very happy to be recognized nationally," he said. "It's something that we take very seriously at LVS and we're very lucky that we have a whole school supportive of our program."
