Those wishing to take part in the volunteer effort are invited to convene at the meeting place outside Fort la Reine School on Sat., June 2 starting at 1 p.m.
"This is the first of our community clean-ups for this year .," said Moffat. "They can just come if they have time to help out."
The neighbourhood clean-up event runs from 1 to 4 p.m.
Also during the event, there will be a barbecue for participating volunteers.
"We will be picking up all the garbage accumulated over the winter, and also all the recycling," said Moffat. "The City will be helping us to pick up the bags of garbage, and Portage Recycling will be picking up the recycling bags."
