Music programs are in line for a healthy boost with a $14,400 fund established in partnership with the Community Foundation of Portage and District.

The Kathleen Bjarnson Fund for Music was created by Lorraine Rae and Kenn Bjarnson because of their mother's love for music.

"My mother lived for music and it means a lot to her family to help young people appreciate and develop their own love for music," said Rae.
