Ecole Arthur Meighen School presented their first grant as part of the Kids in Philanthropy (KiP) program, supported by the Community Foundation of Portage la Prairie District Inc.
Dan Rosset's grade seven and eight French Immersion class presented their $500 cheque to Central Plains Cancer Care Services (CPCCS).
"This was a beneficial program for the students and myself," said Rosset. "I didn't know how many charitable organizations there were in Portage."
