A pork barbecue is planned for all Conservative party supporters for the opening of Brian Pallister's campaign office in Portage la Prairie Tuesday.

The event will take place at 350 River Road from 12 pm to 1:30 pm

The former Portage-Lisgar MP is a hopeful for the Manitoba Progressive Conservative party leadership.

The Progressive Conservative leadership convention will take place Oct. 27.

So far Pallister is the only candidate declared who is seeking the nomination to replace the outgoing leader of Manitoba's Progressive Conservative party Hugh McFadyen .
