Sandy Bay boater still missing 0
The search continues for a passenger in a boat that overturned on Monday night.
Two passengers, a 22 year old man and a 25 year old man, both from Sandy Bay First Nation that were on board the vessel were reportedly thrown into the water.
One passenger was able to make it to shore and once located, was transported to Portage General Hospital. He has since been released. The second passenger is still missing.
On the evening of Tues. May 16, the boat that had capsized was located near Delta Beach by Civil Air Search And Rescue Association (CASARA) and later recovered by Ebb and Flow Fire Department.
It all began when the Amaranth RCMP Detachment received a report that a small vessel had overturned due to high winds on Lake Manitoba near Langruth, Manitoba.
Efforts to locate the 22 year old male passenger is ongoing.
