It was a moving event when harpist and singer Loreena McKennitt visited Portage la Prairie Wednesday to perform for guests at the Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraiser, including her long-time friend Auna-Marie Brown, president of the Big Brothers of Portage board.
About 235 people gathered in the Herman Prior Centre for the afternoon of music and a talk from McKennitt.
The award winning artist discussed her music and life over the years since first growing up in her hometown of Morden.
