Portage MCC has many volunteers who stand out for their hard work and dedication to helping others - but it's not every day you run into volunteers in their 90s. The local MCC store is lucky enough to have four nonagenarians.

These four special volunteers are: Peter Hamm, 99; Elva Keast, 95; Diane Kitson, 91; and Martha Hoyes, 90.

Peter Hamm cycles to work from his home at Douglas Campbell Lodge, despite the fact he is legally blind. His role while volunteering is folding and sorting plastic bags.

Diane Kitson and Martha Hoyes can both be found volunteering in the MCC store; the former sorts jars and containers while the latter sorts clothing. Kitson has been volunteering at MCC for the last eight years while Hoyes has been volunteering for the past 23 years.
