Trojans fall 0-2 in lacrosse season

The lacrosse learning curve continues for the PCI Trojans as the team fell to 0-2 on the year after losing an 8-1 game to Transcona Collegiate on Thursday.

Al Patterson, head coach of the PCI Trojans lacrosse team, said that the team fought hard to stay in the game but were outmatched in the skill department against one of the better teams in the division.

"I give the guys a lot of credit. We played one of the best teams in our division but we played them pretty good. There's an obvious difference with the ball-handling skill difference but for the most part, our kids kept on playing hard and tough," said Patterson.

Trojans goalie Keaton Bachalo came up with some huge saves in the loss, but ultimately the Trojans couldn't muster enough to put down their opponents.

The Trojans will have another crack at the can on Saturday when they host a doubleheader against Sagkeeng and Kildonan East.
