Quoc Hung Le has been playing the same numbers since his first Quick Pick lottery ticket ten years ago. Much to his surprise it was announced last week that his Western 649 lottery ticket would be worth $1 million.

He had purchased a Western 649 seven number combination ticket for two draws from Portage Husky, located at 1120 Saskatchewan Ave. E. in Portage la Prairie. When his winning numbers were drawn on Apr. 7 Quoc Hung was surprised.

"I checked at home with a print out from the store, first. Then I went to the Husky and checked it on the Self-Checker," said Quoc Hung.

His ticket won the game's $1 million top prize as well as six subsidiary prizes for a total of $1, 003, 000.

Hung said he plans to buy a new car with his winnings and the money will also help him with a life goal.

"I want to retire in two years and do some travelling," said Quoc Hung. "This will help with that."
