The PLAP City Rollers held a BBQ on Saturday at the Cat and Fiddle to raise money and awareness for roller derby in Portage.
The group sold hot dogs and created colourful signs to try to drum up some support for their roller derby team.
Earlier at 1 p.m., the girls met for a team practice skate on the Crescent Lake path at Royal Road and Crescent Road.
Then, the BBQ was held at around 2:30 p.m. as drivers honked their horns in supports and stopped by for a hot dog. All the funds will go towards the team and its respective needs.
